Chelsea Appoints A New Manager After Sacking ConteIyiolastrings
In the late hours of Friday, July 13th 2018, English Club, Chelsea Fc announced that they had decided to part ways with Head coach, Antonio Conte. He won two titles with the club including the Premier League title in the 2016/2017 season and the FA cup in the 2017/2018 season.
It is interesting to note that Antonio Conte is the sixth manger to be sacked in these past few years. Precious managers include: Mounrinho, Carlo Ancellotti, Roberto di Matteo.
The man appointed to take his place is former Napoli manager, Maurizzo Sarri. Despite his not having won any major trophies for Napoli, he has been praised for his style of direct play by the footballing world quite similar to coaching legend, Carlo Ancellotti. Ironically, Carlo is the man to take his place at Napoli in Italy.
Chelsea are looking to bring a new and modern look to the team with the new coach expected to bring the English club back to its days of glory past. The only question remains: will Sarri exceed all expectations and show his quality or will he be just another name to be hacked down after the first season? The footballing world surely awaits the answer.
